Matthews Cotswold Flour Reviews

I placed my order two and a half weeks back, and there's still no indication that my package has been sent out. I've reached out to the company via email twice for some news and even tried hitting them up on Twitter, but I've heard nothing in return. I wouldn't suggest this place.

I placed an order for some flour on December 1st last year. It finally arrived on January 4th, but the box was soaked and two bags of flour were missing. At first, I thought the delivery service messed up, but then I saw that the box was stuffed with plastic sheeting that should've been around the flour, just to make it seem full. I reached out to Matthews right away but got no response. I followed up on January 16th, asking for an update, and still, I've heard nothing back. So here I am, £21 down for three bags of soggy flour. Not exactly a great deal.

Awesome variety of high-quality flours. I go through 7.5 kg of different bread flours each month, and I only purchase from Matthew's now. I've been a loyal customer for more than two years. The online ordering and delivery are super quick and efficient. Couldn't be happier!

For my sister's birthday, I gifted her a variety of 5 bags of flour since she bakes bread a couple of times each week. She was over the moon! Her current favorite is the 8 grains flour, which she claims is fantastic. For years, she used to get her flour from a mill in Norfolk, but after I moved to Hook Norton, I told her about the flour available at the brewery. Delivery was quick and smooth. I'm a big fan of all the various flours, but Cotswold Crunch and Ancient Grains Spelt really take the cake for me. When it comes to sourdough, I wouldn't use anything but Matthews White Rye for my starter; it's truly the top choice.

We began using FWP Mathews not long after the initial Covid lockdown, since there was hardly any breadmaking flour available in stores. It came promptly and was nicely packaged. Since it's just the two of us, we kept using it past the expiration date without any issues. We've ordered again since then and are really happy with both the products and the service. The flour I received was top-notch! I ordered a mix to test out and figure out which one I'd like to get in a 16kg bag.

I ended up choosing the Churchill White because it really gave my white loaves a delightful taste!

Just a heads up, the dispatch times are a bit longer than what some folks might be accustomed to. But they’re very clear about it, and since they’re a small family-run business, you can’t really expect same-day shipping. Plus, good things come to those who wait!

This flour is fantastic! I use it in my breadmaker and always end up with great results. The Cotswold Crunch and 8 Grain varieties are my favorites. I recently placed my first order for 10 bags directly, but I gotta say, the packaging could've been sturdier. The box was a bit wrecked, and the delivery guy had to patch it up with some tape. Luckily, only one bag was a tad damaged. Also, it took a bit longer than expected to arrive after I ordered.
